With the world of business going through rapid change on a global scale, technical know-how has emerged as the key driver behind competitive advantage. However, in order to ensure that company cultures are tailored for sustainable success, HR professionals must be best positioned to build organization cultures for competitive advantage and people centricity. Africa, in particular as the world’s second-largest continent and home to over a billion people, needs to use technological solutions to improve the quality of life in the communities in which organizations operate. It is my firm belief that the global HR competencies and best practices identified throughout Global HR Competencies: Mastering Competitive Value from the Outside In will provide an invaluable resource to HR leaders in crafting sustainable organizations in a world of fast-moving technological change and innovation.
